In this neuroscience-based talk, cognitive psychologist Dr. Amy Moore will share tips for understanding and helping children with ADHD. She will reveal surprising facts about the ADHD brain that will help homeschooling parents better connect with and teach kids who struggle with ADHD. With humor and real-life examples, Dr. Amy will ask you to examine five areas of influence on your child’s behavior and learning including sleep, nutrition, physical activity, emotion regulation, and cognitive skills. You’ll learn tips for optimizing each of these areas to reduce some of your child’s struggles with behavior and learning.

If reading time in your homeschool is filled with frustration, tears, or constant curriculum changes, you’re not alone. This session with Sandy Zamalis will help parents understand why some kids work so hard to read and still struggle and what’s really going on beneath the surface. Walk away with a clearer, research-backed understanding of your child’s reading challenges and tools to help you choose supports that are grounded in science, not trial and error.

The term "special needs" often broadly categorizes children who don't conform to typical learning patterns. But when your child truly learns differently, what steps should you take? Join Gretchen Roe for an insightful session filled with practical advice on adjusting goals and expectations, then tailoring your curriculum to genuinely support your atypical learner's unique path to success and thriving.

Unpack the frequently asked questions of how to homeschool struggling learners and those who learn differently. Be encouraged and equipped as Cheri Kay shares diagnostic checklists for struggling learners, discusses common roadblocks homeschooling parents face (and how to navigate around them), and gives strategies for achieving success with your children who learn differently
