PA-2026 Rejoice in Hope

Presented by: Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania

This workshop encourages parents to embrace homeschooling as more than academics by focusing on a Christ-centered vision of education. We will explore how to integrate a biblical worldview, character formation, and spiritual discipleship into everyday learning, helping families homeschool with clarity and eternal purpose.

Homeschooling high school doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. In this encouraging and practical workshop, you’ll learn the key shifts every parent needs to understand before homeschooling a teen. Discover how your role changes, what truly matters academically, how to prepare for transcripts and graduation, and how to guide your teen toward increasing independence with confidence. Walk away calm, clear, and equipped for the high school years.

This workshop addresses some of the challenges associated with teaching struggling or atypical learners at home in the high school years. Do you have questions such as “How do I award my teen with special needs a diploma?” or “What do I do when my teen with dyslexia can’t read high school-level material?” Cheri Kay discusses alternative coursework, specialized curricula and learning materials, assistive technology, transcript options, possible graduation guidelines, high school programs for special learners, and post-high school options. She also offers tips for navigating the process of applying for testing accommodations for College Board tests.

Most of us have presuppositions about what high school is based on our own experience. Times are changing, and the opportunities for home educating high schoolers have grown rapidly. Many of these opportunities will save time, help your family avoid higher education debt, and give your teens a head start on their next decade of life.
