Many families have a strong emphasis on obedience and their kids do quite well, but God instructs children to learn to obey and honor. This session unpacks the biblical concept of honor in practical terms. God uses the term honor in nine different commands. Honor is a relationship term that can change the culture in your home, teaching kids to consider the needs of others and take initiative to go beyond what’s expected. Parents will learn how honor changes people and how to give children a vision for growing in this area of the heart.

Learn the difference between a heart-based approach to child training and simple behavior modification. Although commonly practiced, behavior modification has significant weaknesses. A heart-based approach reaches children in ways that address their tendencies, motivations, and patterns in life. It’s so much more powerful and the practical tools shared in this session will give you great insight into the makeup of a child and how kids change. Five points will be shared to help the parent develop a heart-based strategy for any child.

Brain Balance is an after school program utilizing the latest brain research to help children with Learning Disorders like ADHD, Asperger’s, Dyslexia, and Autism to function better academically, socially, and behaviorally. Research shows that children with these labels have areas of brain underconnectivity, especially between the right and left hemispheres. One of the two hemispheres of the Brain has become STRONGER AND FASTER and the other has become WEAKER AND SLOWER. When this happens the two hemispheres become functionally disconnected and are unable to communicate effectively. The characteristics of the stronger, faster hemisphere become amplified while the characteristics of the weaker, slower hemisphere are muted. This lack of balance translates into the noticeable academic, social and behavioral problems that these children exhibit. Come learn how the Brain Balance Program™ identifies and improves areas of Brain Underconnectivity to give your child their best chance at success.

When to cuddle and when to correct? Is the behavior a lack of training, an emotional problem or a sin issue? These are real, important, critical questions. Training our children should be intentional. It is more than simply going through life and addressing problems or victories as they arise. It is more than being concerned about behaviors that you see. The Razvis share how to tackle these important questions and implement training that has a long term eternal outlook.

When Drew Perry was 18, he became a real estate investor and brought his very educated dad home from corporate America in just three years by selling houses on eBay. Now, all four brothers work together in a family business. To learn how Wendell and Rhea Perry educated their 7 children to focus on living simply, glorifying God and building financial freedom while doing what they love, don’t miss this exciting story, complete with pictures!

One only has to listen to discover the heart of a child. Our goal as parents is to reach the heart, rather than simply realign behavior. Too often, we depend on rules as the primary enforcer of behavior. Rules can change behavior, but they can’t change the heart. When parents begin to discern the difference between character flaws and purposeful disobedience, they will implement a gentler approach to reaching and understanding their children. As a result, children will more willingly admit their faults and seek help from those they love. Children need to hear the beating of our hearts rather than the beating of our voices. Join Mark as he relates his experience as a shepherd and the important lesson that you don’t become a shepherd just because you own sheep.

Based on the life of Ehud the Benjamite, Mark will unveil the unique strategy that God and his parents used to prepare him to become a skilled and strategic warrior, confident leader, and a skillful entrepreneur. In this seminar we will look at the assessment of a child’s natural abilities and the instructive insights that are necessary to cultivate in each child, teen, and passionate pursuit of excellence in every area of life. This seminar promises to be an eye opener for all ages—in more ways than you expect; but in a way you will never forget! If time allows we will also take parents behind the scenes to see what inspired and motivated the great minds of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Einstein, Edison, and the more modern creativity of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and the Beatles. They all had something in common--something available to all! Join Mark and be convinced that “Everyday you are becoming who you will be forever.”

Attitudes affect much of our lives, including the relationships we have in the home. Sometimes children have bad attitudes about instructions, authority, schoolwork, or even about the family itself. Unfortunately, many parents focus only on the behavior and don’t help children deal with the underlying heart issues. Learn to recognize thinking errors that lead to bad attitudes, see why it’s important to address emotions in the family. In this session, parents will learn proactive and corrective strategies for addressing bad attitudes in family life.

Real power to elicit change in behavior comes through recognizing and training the underlying belief systems that drive our behaviors. In this session, Ben and Ann Marie Brezina will describe a Biblical view of ourselves as parents and relate practical examples of how focusing on identity can empower us and our children towards healthy relationships and Christ-like behavior.

This presentation is for those who are thinking: “What is the 100% guaranteed way for parents to get their children to make wise and thoughtful decisions?” Most parents have a secret fear of watching their children grow up to make poor, purposeless choices. You are not alone. When speaking with young adults, we find that many of them feel overwhelmed by the amount of choices they face. However, parents can walk with their children through these decisions, not by knowing the future, but through exploring their child’s life purpose by asking the right questions.

What is ‘real science’? Jonathan discusses the distinction between ‘origins science’ which seeks to explain what happened in the past and ‘operational science’ which is testable, repeatable, and is the source of things like cell phones and antibiotics. He shows how what we see from operational science—things we observe today—support the Bible’s statements about origins and an intelligent Designer—the God of the Bible. This includes startling evidence for a globe-covering Flood that laid down rock layers, formed fossils, and carved canyons.

In popular culture (media, movies and public education), dinosaurs are probably used more than any other topic to indoctrinate people, particularly our youth, into the worldview of evolution and its associated millions-of-years timeframe. However, most have never heard the overwhelming evidence that demonstrates man and dinosaurs have coexisted in recent history. Moreover, evolutionary paleontologists have been confronted by physical evidence that contradicts their idea that the last dinosaur walked the earth 65 million years ago. What does this mean for Christians? Gary relates how we can use this information to reaffirm the Bible’s account of history, and the dinosaurs’ place in it. It’s important information that we can use to equip our children when they are confronted by the cultural view of dinosaurs and the millions of years of evolution.

Find out what you must change for this child to stay on task and learn. Instead of trying to make this child learn like most others, find the key that unlocks learning for the highly distractible child. Well cover how to put motion into learning, making math fun (no, really!) and how to make learning experiences that cement your child's understanding of science, history, and language. In other words, come and learn practical tips that you can start using Monday morning. (Best for Pre-K through 6th).

Equips and empowers homeschool parents to overcome opposition, hindrances, bad habits/attitudes, false expectations, nosy neighbors and more! Prepares the homeschooling parent to meet the challenges and rise above everything (or anyone) that threatens to sabotage their homeschooling efforts.

Child-training methodologies are important. The permissive methods, the behavior-modification methods, and the externalistic, recipe-driven methods have all borne bad fruit over the years. But what is there for parents who desire authentic, heart-deep, God-loving kids? Based on the experience of generations of godly child-rearing, and the wisdom of God’s Word, Kevin Swanson carves out a biblical balance to this difficult subject in this presentation.

What is it about home education that has profoundly reenergized education and produced such outstanding academic results? Incredibly, the average Homeschool 8th grader without teacher-credentialed parents tests 4 grade levels above the national average on nationally standardized tests. And it is not because we have taken a public school system complete with desks and bolted them to the floor of our living rooms. In this visionary, ground-breaking presentation on the Homeschool vision, Kevin presents the basic elements that make up an outstanding homeschooling experience for your child. This message will give the first-time homeschooler confidence and vision and will provide encouragement and a reality check for the experienced home educator.

For so many families today, things fall apart during the teenage years. Rebellion is sometimes thought of as a norm. Their minds and hearts are under almost continual assault during these years. As parents, how do we nurture both mind and heart during these critical years? As the father of three teens and one twenty-something, Kevin Swanson addresses the emotional, the spiritual, and the academic issues in this important presentation.

Purposeful transitioning from teaching academic basics, to training and practical preparation for independent, productive adulthood. This message equips homeschooling parents to effectively train and equip their children for the life purpose God intends for them by strategically moving them from childhood dependence to disciplined, responsible, self-governed adults.

Many non-believers rail against God because they witness so much death and suffering in the world, and this is one of the main reasons why people reject the God of the Bible. However, if they are atheists, what logical basis do they have for determining what is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ anyway? Sadly, many have left their Christian faith because they have been taught that death and struggle is an essential part of ‘life’, and so this must be the way that God created. However, if we understand and take the Bible’s history at face value, the death and suffering we see in the world should actually serve as a reminder that something is wrong with this fallen world. When we look at the world through the lens of the Scripture, we find that indeed God has done something about all the death and suffering in the world. You will be immensely encouraged by this message.

In all of world history, up until a century ago, teenagers were considered adults. There was no such thing as the childhood phase we call "adolescence."? This workshop will examine modern culture and its influence on the slow maturing of today's young people, to help parents identify those things they do to keep their children irresponsible and self-absorbed, consequently, unprepared for adulthood. Also, drawing from history, Reb presents a plan for unlocking children's full potential for early maturity.

This session is for any mom who feels stressed and fatigued from the many demands of lifeespecially parenting! What causes Mommy Burnout and what can you do to prevent it? Fortunately, Mommy Burnout is as easy to treat as it is to diagnose. The remedy rests on the choices you make.

No matter what the size of your family, each child needs special one-on-one time with each of his parents. How are you going to manage that when you scarcely get a date with your spouse? Where do you go to get more hours in your day? And what do you mean by date? Join Rebecca to learn how to make individual quality time with your kids a priority. Youll discover the keys to grabbing hold of the opportunities God provides and establishing stronger life connections with the hearts youre blessed to hold.

Music has become such an ever-present influence in our daily life, we seldom stop to consider what effect it has on us. But we must. As we changed over the last 100 years, from being music “makers” to music “consumers,” we have gradually lost control over, and even awareness of, our auditory environment. In what way is music beneficial to our bodies and minds? In what circumstances can it actually be harmful? Solid scientific research provides some astounding answers to such questions--indeed, facts that must not be ignored by today’s parents and children.

Boys are different, Mom! Our sexually permissive culture is already sending your son signals that real manhood equals an aggressive thirst for power and a lustful hunger for promiscuity. How do you whet your son's appetite for Christ alone? Join Rebecca to learn the secrets every mother needs to know about raising a godly son.

When Daddy's little girl starts looking like a woman, she feels awkward and he does too! During this critical time, however, dads can't pull away. Your daughter needs your affection, encouragement, and guidance now more than ever! Pastor Rich Powell will encourage dads to be the man their daughter needs during her teen years.

As children mature they ask three foundational questions of their fathers. The answers the father demonstrates to these questions determine whether he will raise a rebel or a mighty warrior for the cause of Christ. (1)Are you worthy for me to follow? (2)Are you worthy to have my heart? (3) If I give you my heart, will you lead me? This talk will focus on practical steps a father (and mother) can take to win and keep the heart of their sons and daughters. We will also cover valuable leadership lessons for the father to apply in his home.

Why do we start for the kitchen to get a drink for a child, get sidetracked by a paperclip on the floor and end up weeding in the garden with no idea why our child is still thirsty? Why do library books constantly disappear into black holes in our homes, never to 19 be seen again?...at least not before the fines add up? Why do we have 25 projects started in our day and only 2 or 3 are ever finished? As a self-proclaimed “Gloriously Unregimented Mom”, Carol shares stories and strategies from the heart (and from the trenches!) about a home run by a highly distractible mom. She brings to light the many “truths” distractible moms must own if ever they are to develop strategies that work. Best of all, Carol shares her firm conviction that the highly distractible mom has a real and God-given edge over the naturally organized mom. Come and learn and laugh as you find REAL help for the highly distractible mom.

In this session you will learn how to help children see their anger coming on and make the necessary changes to prevent explosions. Many parents end this session saying, “I need this just as much as my children do."

Parents often think their job is done after they’ve given a consequence. Unfortunately tension often lingers in the relationship. Furthermore, many children don’t seem to make the connection between correction and life. Learning how to end the discipline time constructively can make all the difference. According to Proverbs 29:17 properly disciplined children are a joy and delight to their parents. Many homeschool parents are convinced of this truth so are diligent in their training and discipline. Sadly, many of these parents discover that the authority which easily controlled their children when young is insufficient to influence them as teenagers. What they lack is a relationship with their children’s hearts (Prov 23:26). In this session Reb will help parents discover how they lose the hearts of their children and reveal to them what the Bible says they can do to gain them back.
