PA-2026 Rejoice in Hope

Presented by: Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania

What if we’re getting childhood all wrong? What if the things children need most—and the right kind of preparation for their futures—aren’t what we’ve been told? In a culture consumed by busyness and achievement, something vital is slipping away. Days once filled with joy, imagination, and connection have been replaced by packed schedules and relentless pressure. Families are feeling the strain, and children are paying the price—growing anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected. The very essence of childhood—the foundation for creativity, resilience, and joy—is quietly vanishing. This keynote will spark a powerful conversation about what children truly need to thrive. It will uncover the hidden forces stealing childhood and inspire a bold, practical path to reclaim it. Attendees will leave with fresh insights, actionable strategies, and a renewed sense of purpose to protect what matters most.

While we try to carefully choose and use the best curricula for our classrooms, several factors have a far greater impact on day-to-day teaching and learning than the differences in materials or methods of instruction. From schedule to diet and from exercise to environment, you can use simple lifestyle adjustments to make education less stressful, more joyful, and more effective.

As CHAP celebrates 40 years alongside our nation's 250th anniversary, this workshop invites homeschool families to reflect on America's founding, its guiding principles, and the biblical truths that shaped our republic. Rooted in Romans 12:12, the session equips parents to teach American history with gratitude, hope, and conviction, encouraging students to love their country, understand its heritage and faithfully live out their role as future citizens.
