Dan was involved in Full-time Ministry for 25 years. Dan and wife Lisa home-schooled their boys from K-12 and then they went to college. While he was homeschooling their boys and studying Hillsdale College’s online courses, Dan was moved to get involved in politics. He helped defeat a city-wide government initiative that would use tax dollars to compete against local private businesses. He came to believe that one person could make a difference in the outcome of elections. Dan later successfully ran for the Jackson County Republican committee in 2012 where he still serves and later successfully ran for State Representative for District 31 where he served his full 8 years, of four 2-year terms. In his seminar, “Practical Government and Civic Engage”, Dan will provide concrete examples, resources and action steps to help families grow together while being effective in influencing the outcome of elections.
