Do you ever have those moments of panic when you wonder if you are giving your children everything they need to succeed in life? Or, in those rare quiet moments of thought and reflection, do you worry that you are inadequate for all that homeschooling requires of you? Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night plagued by the long list of important things that still need to be done and know there will never be enough time in the day to accomplish them? If you, like I, have experienced these feelings and fears in your homeschooling journey, then come to this workshop and be encouraged. God knows that as human beings we are confined and surrounded by limitations and weaknesses. We will look specifically at the challenging areas of vision, finances, knowledge, home management, and fatigue. The Scripture provides promises of hope, strength, power, and help for those of us who are weak, weary, and imperfect. The Bible also instructs us in accomplishing the impossible as we bask in God's boundless resources, amazing strength, and infinite love.

In all of world history, up until a century ago, teenagers were considered adults. There was no such thing as the childhood phase we call "adolescence."? This workshop will examine modern culture and its influence on the slow maturing of today's young people, to help parents identify those things they do to keep their children irresponsible and self-absorbed, consequently, unprepared for adulthood. Also, drawing from history, Reb presents a plan for unlocking children's full potential for early maturity.

When the truths of history (the good, the bad, and the ugly) are sifted through the strainer of political correctness, it loses its potency and relevance. In this modern age that some professionals have labeled, "The Age of Entitlement", both children and adults often appear clueless and nonchalant when it comes to understanding the sacrifices made on their behalf. It often seems that America has forgotten what it means to be grateful. In this session, Jamie will share her heart as she explains how the "watered down", politically correct, history textbooks have had a part in helping students so easily forget the past and think it irrelevant. "For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, that they may set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; and may not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God."? Ps. 78:5-8

Algebra is the study of relations (equations and inequalities). It is therefore essential that students completely and conceptually understand the basic concepts necessary to solve them. In this workshop, Tom Clark will help you to develop an inquiry approach which is applicable to all basic relations. You will discover the analytical questions students need to ask in order to "undo"? all of the complications they may encounter when solving equations and inequalities.

Greg & Connie are joined by two of their sons in this very encouraging session.

An in-depth look at four parenting styles: Dictatorial, Detached, Enmeshed, and Indulgent, will reveal some of the root causes of childhood apathy, depression and rebellion. This insightful session will help parents see the effects of their particular style of parenting, and how it may be cultivating four types of foolishness in children. Teens will also benefit from these insights as they learn that their parent's failures are not an excuse for irresponsible behavior. Biblical and present-day examples of each of these styles will be illustrated, and the consequences and steps needed to break these patterns of harmful behavior will be addressed.

Seeing the 'big picture' of the earth's history from a biblical perspective. What does the Bible say about dinosaurs? Men and dinosaurs living together? When were dinosaurs created? Don't dinosaurs prove the Bible is wrong? Has anyone seen a real live dinosaur? What happened to them? Why should Christians be interested in dinosaurs? This illustrated presentation shows how dinosaurs are having an impact on your family, even without your knowledge. It will give you answers to many important questions about life, the universe and everything. For some, it answers questions that have been troubling for years but which they have been afraid to ask for fear of seeming skeptical.

Why is it that while moms so often desire a close relationship with their children they end up in conflict with them? Not only is homeschooling near impossible when there is tension in the family, but the ability to influence children’s values is lost. In this session Beverly opens the Word to reveal important help for family harmony. She shares about the transformation in her own home when she recognized the spiritual warfare directed at her own children, and made the choice to fight not WITH them, but FOR them.
