From a Biblical perspective, this session explains when God instituted Government, the proper role of civil Government, and the Christian's role in the context of civil government. Hear about transforming biblical principles as they pertain to you and the governing authority that God has ordained.

As a pilot for American Airlines, Steve was very close to the events of 9/11. He tells his deeply moving story of God's providence on that terrible day in our history. Come and discover why God gave Steve a second chance and now uses him to teach parents all around the world to parent with purpose and urgency as he introduces you to The Nine Practices of The Proactive Parent. Intensely practical and Bible based, they are designed to give parents both the tools they need and the hope necessary to build a Christ-centered character-driven home environment. The Nine Practices are a great way to revitalize parents in the all important task of parenting

Twenty-six hundred years ago, three teenagers stood in defiance to a powerful king. In our world of entertainment-minded youth, are we doing enough to prepare them for the possibility of challenging days ahead? Chuck encourages parents and teens to ‘Know What You Believe’, ‘Know What’s Coming’, and ‘Know What You Will Do’ so that if the day should come, we will stand and not bow

If we homeschool simply to achieve high academic marks, we are squandering the opportunity to influence our children for Christ. Character healthy leaders are those children who have learned to elevate virtues above feelings. If we spend our homeschooling hours simply on academics and activities, we may win the praise of man, but we risk losing the hearts of our children. In our few short years with our children, we must focus on the first things first, and character is always the first thing! In this session, Megan will challenge you to use every opportunity to teach your children to serve God by loving others and to love others by faithfully serving God.

This session will explore the latest and greatest of what is going on within the creation/evolution debate. This presentation turns evolution on end since the primary evidence of evolution (natural selection) has been explained today by genetics and points to a Creator rather than chance processes. In fact, these so-called evolutionary changes take place in hours to days, not eons of time. It is the most recent and powerful evidence serving a death-blow to evolution and a must know for every student and parent to defend the faith.

"Whatever is the meaning of life?" "Whatever happens when one dies?" "Whatever is your highest value?"—questions that demand more than a "Whatever!" answer. The "Whatever!" answer of Secular thinking dampens and even squelches serious thought and attempts at engaged conversation in our culture. The "Whatever!" of Secularism even invades the church. Rather than be discouraged, take heart in God's command in Deuteronomy 12:32.

I don’t know why what you expect is typically what you get, I just know that it’s true. Since that’s the case it makes sense to understand this powerful reality at work in our world. Understanding the power of expectations changes your relationships, your parenting, your professional life, and ultimately the course of your life. This session will talk about God’s expectations, what that means for you, and how your expectations will change you and those around you.

It has only been in recent decades--with the development of technology capable of scanning the human brain--that neurologists have been enlightened as to how learning occurs and how we can optimize new knowledge. This session will address some of the amazing intricacies of the brain, the principles of brain-based learning, how boys and girls learn differently, and how God’s Word teaches us to think for learning retention.

The world, the flesh, and the devil are vying for the minds of our kids, often in such subtle ways that it goes unnoticed until they are in crisis. This session will delve into multiple venues in which our thoughts, our time, and our choices are influenced by our worldview. We will put many of these examples to the test of a biblical worldview with the goal of heightening awareness of where “little foxes” creep in and seek to spoil (Song of Solomon 2:15).

If you have more than one child, you know first-hand that they come to us uniquely “crafted” by our Heavenly Father--no two are alike! This fact is especially challenging when homeschooling and trying to plan what to teach. This session will: • Address the imperative given to us in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent]” (Amplified Bible), • Include several “personality” test options to help you understand your children and how they learn best, and • Provide teaching/learning strategies to help you utilize this information to inform your homeschooling efforts.

What are we implanting into the hearts, souls, and minds of our children? What are we giving them to think about? God has given us wisdom in answer to these questions: "Whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, think about these things. Remember the saying: "An ounce of prevention ..." Come and hear how David and Shirley have applied these truths to education.

The apostle Paul calls us to “work with your hands ... so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.” (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12). This talk explores the biblical mandate to work hard, build community, and decrease our dependence on worldly systems.

You may be asking: “What are the BEST books for my children?” Books that make for wonder! Books that make one kneel in reverence and respect! Books that challenge one to pursue trust in God! Books that are filled with truth! Make time to have shared moments by reading aloud with your family. Share the heartaches and joys of characters from living books tonight and every night with your family. When your family is grown, they will remember the joy of literature!

Compassion doesn't come easy for the forgetful. As Christian homeschooling families who are daily surrounded by the things of God in our academic environment, it's easy to become detached from the world and the importance of proactively demonstrating the heart of God toward those who live outside the four walls of our home—especially those who don't know Christ, or who do things differently than us. Combine this with the reality that we are busy people who live in an increasingly diverse world, and we find ourselves failing to emulate the compassionate heart of our Savior toward unbelievers, and our fellow Christians. We will learn how to fight this harmful tendency, how to be at peace with families who make different educational choices, how to avoid being condescending toward those who employ different parenting styles, how to draw near with the gospel to unbelievers whose sins grieve us, and how to emulate Jesus—the One who looked out on the multitudes and was moved with compassion.

Weaknesses! Not only do all of us have them, but they are often the greatest source of our disheartenment as Christians. Whether it's in our role as husbands, wives, children, or homeschooling parents, we are all often haunted by our shortcomings and besetting sins. Enter Christ—our High Priest who sympathizes with our weaknesses, and who experienced our same temptations. In this session, we will be refreshed by the delightful truth that Jesus calls weak sinners like us to come boldly to His throne of grace, where we will find mercy and grace to help us in our time of need.

“It’s bad to be a boy.” That’s the message of our gender-confused, stereotype-obsessed culture. Dr. Jeff Myers shares five aspects of masculinity, based on the Bible, that help parents raise self-assured and level-headed boys in in a culture that abuses and abandons the very idea of what it means to become a man.?

Choosing curriculum and making sure that your children are on the right track academically can be extremely overwhelming and cause you to lose sight of the most important aspects of homeschooling – discipline and discipleship. Many parents try to add a little character training here or there and miss the crucial daily opportunity for spiritual training. This workshop will deal with the vital aspect of laying a strong spiritual foundation in your children’s lives and keeping academics in their proper place.?

Kathie shares how to use God’s word all through the day, and how she has taught her children to love God’s Word, and get excited about it. You will be encouraged as she shares the blessings that have resulted in her family as they practiced these ideas. Included will be suggestions on making Scripture memory fun and easy!

Children have serious questions about God and the Bible that shape their lifelong worldview. Based on thirty years of working with young adults, Dr. Jeff Myers helps parents answer questions such as What is God like? How do we know the Bible is true? Why doesn’t God stop pain? What happens when we die? What about those who have never heard?

As fallen creatures living in a fallen world, we are relentlessly tempted to scratch the stubborn itch of indulgent self-centeredness—daily battling an unrequited yearning to be the focal point of everyone’s attention.? But the real Master, who is undeniably worthy to be incessantly waited on, said of Himself that He did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.? God has given us plenty of opportunities to imitate the servant-heartedness of Jesus—the greatest servant in existence.? Discover what glad servanthood really looks like, and how we can become willing and joyful servants to our loved ones and the world as we follow in the footsteps of Christ.

Have you ever noticed the way that people respond when you speak words of encouragement into their life?? It’s almost similar to the joy that a lost traveler in a hot dessert exudes when he suddenly finds a lush oasis.? We know this because it’s exactly what each of us has experienced when others have thoughtfully taken the time to encourage us.? The trials of life can often be extremely disheartening, but this session will help us discover that the greatest source of encouragement to our own souls comes from being used by God to encourage others. Amid the current homeschooling season of life that God has placed us in, we will dive deep and uncover what the Bible has to say about how we can become ready and eager encouragers toward those in our immediate circle of influence, and beyond.?

The most important thing we can do as we raise our kids is strive to win and keep their hearts! When we have their hearts, we are able to influence them and their values. That is one of the main reasons many parents feel led to home school their children – so THEY can be the ones influencing their children’s values. When we fail to win their hearts, or that heart connection becomes weak, our kids will often begin to look to their friends for relationship, and no longer be open to our teaching. Kathie will share some things to avoid that often lead to losing their hearts, and then give 6 key things to help you win & keep their hearts.

One of the boldest stratagems of the Second World War involved the bombing of Tokyo shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Jacob DeShazer, one of the Doolittle’s raiders who participated in that assault, led a life fleeing from God until his captivity as a prisoner of the Japanese. His story and that of the commanding Japanese pilot in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Mitsuo Fushida, intertwine in a way only God could orchestrate through a series of remarkable providences. This story shows the hand of God in the lives of two relatively obscure warriors, which in the end resulted in the conversion of many Japanese people and the witness of the Gospel to untold thousands of others in the post war world. History is not only stranger than fiction, it displays the glory of God in amazing ways.

The battle for our children’s life should be fought on our knees! Prayer is the most important part of rearing our children. Why? Because God can do what we cannot do. Kathie will share several practical prayer ideas, as well as suggestions for some the things we should pray for regarding our children. Being a praying parent makes a difference, and we need to commit to praying daily for our kids.

The main goal in this workshop is to see the creation through?new eyes. Often when we observe common familiar creatures, our initial reaction is “been there, seen that, ho hum” when there?really is nothing ho hum about it. I will survey a few animals, plants, and fungi that we deem boring, and then (without exaggerating) showcase God’s handiwork by unveiling the hidden yet awe-inspiring features of these living masterpieces. We will find out that the boringness is in us, not in the animal,?plant, or fungus.??

How to use homeschooling to prepare your children for a culture that wants to cancel them. In a world where deconstruction is the norm, how do we construct a model of discipleship that helps our children not make a shipwreck of their faith? Our children will face a tidal wave of opposition to their Christian worldview, how do we prepare them to stand in the gap unwavering in their faith.

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12). This is one part of a Teen Leadership track for young people to see, understand, and participate in Christian Leadership.

Homeschooling is the fastest growing educational model in the country, with millions of students doing at-home learning. Yet, peer bullying, classroom chaos, outdated learning environments, and online opportunities make leadership and families reimagine the possibilities of homeschooling. Veteran homeschool mother of five and trusted leader addresses the long-term benefits of staying the course. Connie Albers offers encouragement wrapped in humor from her 35 years of parenting and uses real-life stories as she paints pictures of possibilities for your homeschool success.

Parents are often surprised when their homeschooled teen becomes unmotivated, angry, or uncooperative. — Up to that point, homeschooling had been a magical learning adventure marked by self-directed learning and effortless discovery. Parents wonder What happened? — What did I do wrong? This workshop will address common challenges when homeschooling high school: motivation, attitude, puberty, achieving high school requirements, and more. It will also provide solutions and insights that produce real results and homeschool success.

Do you feel like you just don’t have what you need to fulfill God’s purpose for your life as a home educator? Do you feel like you don’t have what it takes to be a Godly parent? Do you feel like you lack patience, understanding, kindness, or joy? Where we lack, God’s divine power provides. In this workshop, we see God’s power and grace given in order to do all that He asks of us and reflect Him to our children and to the world. His grace gives us all that we need to abound in every good work—even homeschooling!

Discover practical strategies for teaching your child HOW to learn. This workshop will give you the tools to guide your child as they gradually transition to learning independently. Whether you have preschoolers or high schoolers you can decrease burnout, develop successful students, and bring peace into your home once again. Listen and experience a renewed vision for your homeschool.

You are a human being, not a human doing. Culture and society will tell you that changing the world and making a difference with your life will require you to become rich, famous, and/or powerful. Unfortunately, it’s extremely difficult to become rich, famous, and powerful. Fortunately, that’s not the way you change the world and make a difference. Christianity has a different plan for world changers, a plan that anyone can follow, that requires community, and that you can start today. This session will teach you how you really change the world and find meaning. Caution: If you attend this session you will have to start today!

Death, illness, finances, marriage struggles, catastrophes, struggling teens, rebellious and difficult children, discouragement, or that feeling you are failing at life. Hard things happen to homeschool families, but there is great hope in the midst of hard things. Deborah talks about ten years of hardships in her journey and shares the hope in the midst of the hard things, as well as tips on practical, simple homeschooling through them. Deborah loves to encourage homeschool families that God has given them all that they need as they keep their children Home Where They Belong.

Whether you have toddlers or teens, we all have a desire to see our kids walk with the Lord and grow in faith. In this session, we will explore fun and simple ways to teach your kids to have regular devotional study, a meaningful prayer life, and engaging family discussions.

What if homeschooling and the homeschool movement was about more than education, but was the training corps for the special forces whose mission is to take and hold the cultural anchors of our civilization? What if your local church was more than a building to worship in once a week, but was the headquarters for an army whose mission was to rebuild a civilization? What if we understood that this army doesn’t build walls and fortifications to keep the barbarians out, but builds homes and communities that lower the bridge, open the gates, and invites those outside in, to a better world? This session will challenge you to think big, think long, and join the mission.

If you are like most parents, you are concerned about what your kids might post online. Unfortunately, social media is a powerful platform that isn't going away. While more and more kids seek relationships online, you can teach them how to create a positive profile that helps influence the next generation. Connie Albers educates teens and parents on using technology as a tool for the Kingdom by creating a positive social profile that promotes causes they are passionate about. This presentation is for you if you want to learn from a mother who has successfully navigated her five children through the social media maze.

Hardships come in every category of life; however, they are not always a reflection of who you are, your parenting or your homeschooling. Learn to go from living in “survival mode” to learning to live in “revival mode.” There is hope in the midst of the hard things if we are fully prepared, fully armed, and hidden in Christ.

Whether you have toddlers or teenagers, you can teach them the Bible! It doesn’t require a degree in Greek, a Bible college degree, or years of studying to teach your children the Bible. Dara will share creative ideas for teaching all ages the wisdom of God’s Word. She will cover teaching Bible stories, Bible memorization, prayer, Biblical discipline, family devotions and service. Being a Christian is a 24/7 life and learning to commune with God through every part of every day is critical. Hear how you and your children can bring God into every area of your life.

Self-esteem can have a negative connotation among God’s people, but it is really about a right relationship with God and a true perspective of Who God is and who we are. As parents we have the responsibility to raise kids with a positive understanding of who God says they are. Claiming these truths can change attitudes and actions. Are you aware of how your words and actions can help or hurt your child as they find out who they are? Is communication in your home healthy and honoring to God? Dara will speak about the importance of words that build up and emotions that are handled carefully. Learning and teaching how to take every thought captive, how to replace Satan’s lies with God’s truths, and how to give praise to our Amazing God will give you tools towards building a healthy and Biblical self-esteem within your child’s heart.

Mothers have every good intention of discipling their children in the ways of the Lord, but a lack of knowledge of how to go about it and the day-to-day necessities of keeping a home and getting lessons done often get in the way of following through on those good intentions. Using the analogy of a home from Proverbs 14:1 “The wise woman builds her house…,” Amy will walk you room by room through the home looking at scriptural examples to empower mothers to build a spiritual home of discipleship for their children while gaining practical tips for managing each room in their physical homes—all without losing their minds. Come away from this workshop with a plan to implement both in the discipleship of your children and keeping of your home.

Gain ideas of how to energize, equip, and engage your family to reach this generation of children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It's about getting our eyes off of our own circumstances and seeing the bigger matters of a lost and dying world. This particular message addresses the Christian homeschool family. How can a homeschooled family live boldly for Christ? How can they change the world in which they live? How can they say “no” to the bait of self-focus and snatch up the call of God to audaciously serve in the Name of Jesus Christ? How can they dare to do as Stanley Dale?

Parenting is difficult. The difficulty increases when we go after more than just “good enough” for our children. The flack that comes from aiming our children for “great and godly” is almost too much for most parents, so, “good enough” often seems like a reasonable place to settle. This message is about aiming our children toward “ready and raring to change the world”! It’s difficult, but it comes with power, because it’s parenting in agreement with the Holy Spirit. “Changing the world for Jesus Christ” is precisely what God is desiring to do in and through our children.

Over and over throughout history the same thrilling storyline unfolds: evil encroaches, all seems lost, and a manly hero rises up to put evil in its place. Of course, this is the storyline of the Gospel. But, it is also the storyline of the Church. And if there was an hour in history when the Church triumphant was needed, it’s right now. This is a heartening message in the midst of the darkening age in which we live to remember how God has worked in history past and how He will surely work today.

When a Christian gets his game on, sirens go off in hell. A Christian man functioning as he ought to has always been, and always will be, considered “dangerous” to this world’s systems. There is no greater threat to the Dark Kingdom than a man courageously shining Light and proclaiming Truth. Since Godly men are “dangerous men”, the games they must learn to play are “dangerous games”.
