Dean Ortner
Dean is the eldest of eight boys whose parents were both professors in the fields of rocket science, metallurgical engineering and math and remedial reading. He showed a precocious inclination for education at an early age by designing an analog computer at age nine to help him with his math homework. He and his brothers attended school year round.
