Patty Blackmer is a homeschool veteran of more than 20 years. She is a strong advocate of homeschooling and seeks to encourage parents and help them understand their vital role in educating their children. She holds a BA in English and American Language and Literature, and an MA in Secondary School Curriculum. She has taught in both public and private schools. Patty and her husband, Ron, homeschooled their three sons. Ron has been self-employed for over 40 years, and this has been a vocational training ground for their sons. Their oldest now runs his own landscape business, and the younger siblings are well on their way to running their own as well.
