Karen & Colton Weber

Before even meeting each other, Karen and Colton Weber had decided to homeschool any children they might have if they ever married. They look forward to celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this September. God has blessed them with six amazing children, one of whom has an additional set of the 21st chromosome in each cell and who likes to rearrange not only everything in the house, but also the family’s schedules and their way of thinking, all at the young age of 6. The Webers are preparing to graduate their oldest, as they prepare their youngest for homeschool kindergarten. As much as Karen & Colton have learned, they are overwhelmed at all they still need to learn, and they enjoy meeting and encouraging other families in this journey we label “Special Needs.” Colton works for the Commonwealth of PA as an Economic Development Consultant with a mission of helping the commonwealth’s entrpreneurs and companies thrive and realize their business dreams. Karen is a stay-at-home home educator, working part time as a family leadership outreach consultant for Temple University Institute on Disabilities’ program Competence and Confidence: Partners in Policymaking (C2P2). Both Colton and Karen are very active in their church and in helping to cultivate their children’s interests in missions, music, academics, sports, and drama. Therefore, while they enjoy practicing hospitality, they admit to never being able to achieve or maintain a completely clean, clutter-free home.
