Joel & Aimee Johnston are disciple makers of Jesus who carry unique experiences in home discipleship, church planting, marketplace mission, and Kingdom-focused entrepreneurship. As founders and senior leaders of CraftCareers.org, they have stewarded this nonprofit that trains and equips students to view their careers not just as jobs but as mission fields where ongoing disciple-multiplying happens. Originally launched as a cosmetology training ministry, Craft has since expanded into multiple vocational paths — all with the core vision of igniting a Jesus movement in every workplace. Before founding Craft Careers, Joel and Aimee invested over a decade pastoring youth and leading a public-school mission network. They also currently lead a home church and assist leadership in a house church network where they care for and coach church planters nationally. Gifted with a pioneering spirit, Joel owns multiple businesses and coaches other entrepreneurs to create missional cultures in their businesses. Aimee, a homeschool veteran of 27 years and graduating the last of their six children this year, has poured her life into discipling her own children as well as many spiritual children. Her heart is to encourage and equip others to do the same, including her grown children with her seven grandchildren. Together, they live out a life of mission that extends discipleship from the home to the workplace and everywhere in between.
