"Kelly Smuts is the author of Pure Math® and a dedicated math teacher at Campbell Christian Academy in Dallas, TX. With over 25 years of experience, Kelly has inspired thousands of children by passing on her love for math. A homeschooled student, she was taught by her mother, June Campbell, which sparked her passion for teaching. Kelly began taking college-level math courses at age 14, earning straight A’s and securing a full academic scholarship to Southern Methodist University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in business and math. Early in her teaching career, Kelly developed her unique teaching method, Pure Math®, which emphasizes mastering the basics to build a strong foundation in math. This approach has helped countless students gain both skills and enthusiasm for the subject. Kelly now lives in north Dallas with her husband, Jonathan, and their three children, whom she has homeschooled."
